Identity Genetics, Inc. maintains strict quality control measures to ensure high standards of excellence in our DNA paternity and DNA forensic testing case work. Our laboratory utilizes protocols that meet or exceed the standards for DNA paternity testing recently published by the Parentage Testing Committee of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the standards set by the DNA Advisory Board for forensic DNA testing.
In addition to being AABB (American Association of Blood Banks) and NFSTC (National Forensic Science Technology Center) certified, Identity Genetics, Inc. subscribes to external proficiency testing protocols. Some specific measures mandated in the proficiency protocol for internal quality control include duplicate tests of excluded individuals, inclusion of appropriate controls for each DNA genetic marker utilized, and analysis of unannounced quality control samples.
